This year marks the 30th anniversary of Disney and Pixar's Toy Story! From July 8 to September 3, Shatin New Town Plaza will be presenting [Toy Friends @ New Town Plaza], featuring three large-scale photo spots, including the 'Toy Claw Machine', 'PICK ME Rocket Launch Pad', and 'Toy Highway'. Among the attractions, a 7-meter-tall inflatable Alien will make its debut appearance, immersing you in the world of Toy Story with Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and all your favorite toy friends. Join them in celebrating Toy Story's 30th anniversary and get ready to 'play' all out!

In addition to the impressive photo spots, there will also be a 'Toy Friends @ New Town Plaza' pop-up store offering over 200 different products, nearly 20 of which are exclusive new items from the Toy Story series making their first appearance. The event will also feature a themed booth game for the first time, where fans can pay to participate and receive a 30th-anniversary limited-edition souvenir upon completing a simple task. It's an event that true fans won't want to miss!

Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and Toy Friends themed installations to celebrate Toy Story's 30th anniversary

This summer, get ready for a joyful journey to celebrate Toy Story's 30th anniversary with Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and all your favorite toy friends at [Toy Friends @ New Town Plaza] in New Town Plaza. The journey begins at the Phase 1 Atrium, where a 7-meter-tall Alien, along with a giant claw, greets visitors from mid-air. Below the giant claw is the 'Toy Claw Machine', a larger-than-life installation featuring various scenes from the movie. Step into the world of the Toy Story toys and relive cherished moments with your favorite characters. The entrance to the claw machine is designed to resemble Woody's iconic belt, with Woody and Rex standing tall on either side. Passing through the archway, you'll be greeted by a massive bubble lamp, complemented by a pink and white woolen ball that reminds us of Bo Peep and her sheep. Standing nearly 3 meters tall, Stinky Pete looms large next to a rocket ball stand, challenging those with a keen eye. At the back, a 5.5-meter-tall spaceship station, guarded by Buzz Lightyear, awaits. Step inside and experience the spacelike a true astronaut, with a room that simulates zero gravity, perfect for capturing out-of-this-world photos!

"Toy Claw Machine" @ Phase 1 Atrium                    

A 7-meter-tall giant claw, along with Alien, hangs in mid-air. 

The entrance to the claw machine is designed to resemble Woody's iconic belt, with Woody and Rex standing tall on either side. 

A massive bubble lamp with a pink and white woolen ball creates a charming atmosphere.  

Standing nearly 3 meters tall, Stinky Pete towers next to the rocket ball stand.

A 5.5-meter-tall spaceship station with a spaceroom for interstellar photo ops.  
  
The second stop on this journey is the 'PICK ME Rocket Launch Pad' at Phase 1 Play Park, where an adorable Alien beckons you to step inside the rocket for a PICK ME photo op with Alien and the giant claw. The final stop is the 'Toy Highway' at Phase 3, 1/F, where toy friends greet you at three different stations along the way. A nearly 2-meter-tall Lotso, along with Jessie and Hamm, strike cool poses, with Lotso's beloved strawberries nearby. Further along the road, a cheerful Alien waves hello, sure to captivate fans. At the front, a red heart and Unicorn await, ready to stroll with you. Before concluding your journey, don't forget to visit the Toy Story 30th-anniversary-themed photo booth, offering a variety of cute frames to capture the memories of your highway adventure with the toy friends!

Pop-up store with over 200 items and exclusive Toy Story themed merchandise

If you've ever wanted to bring the Toy Story toy friends home with you, now's your chance! During the event, a pop-up store will offer a range of limited-edition themed merchandise.

The 'Toy Friends @ New Town Plaza' pop-up store will be located on the 1/F East Wing of Phase 1, featuring a cute and playful design with different characters and photo spots. The store will offer over 200 Toy Story themed items, including nearly 20 exclusive new products making their debut, such as retro-print tote bags, desk display blind boxes, and printed short-sleeved shirts. Fans won't want to miss out on the chance to add these 'Toy Friends' items to their collection!

In addition to the themed merchandise, the pop-up store will also feature an interactive themed booth game for an additional fee. Simply complete a simple task and receive a random 30th-anniversary limited-edition souvenir. For more details, please refer to the posters inside the store.
